Kojo Evans

Kojo Evans is spastic. He has trouble with his motor coordination, talking and walking. In 2000 Kojo underwent major operations to improve his walking. Now Kojo can slowly but independently walk with a walking rack. Every day he can be found in the workshop where he is a master in weaving Kente cloth. He is good with beadwork as well.
Kojo is intelligent. He knows how to converse, but it takes some time to learn to understand him. Kojo lives semi-independently at the edge of the premises. He likes gardening a lot so he has his own garden where he grows tomatoes, yam, and cucumbers. He sells these products to the kitchen of the Hand in Hand community.
Kojo loves music and Kofi Asare gives him organ lessons. He also loves listening to the radio, conversing with Kofi Asare and dancing. He was born around 1980. Kojo was abandoned along side the road when he was four years old. He still remembers this and also has a strong belief that one day his father will come back for him, with money for all the operations he needs in his mind to become a healthy man. His father then will give him a wife which he wants most of all.
